Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at 4:10AM Check Out AC/DC's 'Iron Man 2' "Shoot to Thrill" Video
Yesterday afternoon,
we told you that AC/DC would provide the soundtrack for
Iron Man 2. Not just a song, but the whole soundtrack is AC/DC. That's pretty bad ass. Even better is that Paramount/Marvel are using a bunch of tried and true AC/DC hits, so that's about as cool as you could hope for.

The first video celebrating the collaboration has now been released, featuring a live performance in Buenos Aires of the band's "Shoot to Thrill," plus some footage from the official summer kick-off. I think we've seen most of the clips before, but there might be one or two new things in there.
I'll be curious to see how much director Jon Favreau bakes the band's songs into the film. A lot of them are ready made for this kind of action flick. So hopefully we'll hear plent of Angus in the movie, and hopefully we'll get more of AC/DC and Tony Stark in the next couple of months.
Here's an interesting tidbit, not that you need one about AC/DC: They've sold over 200 million albums worldwide, and Back in Black, one of the quintessential hard rock albums, is now the highest-selling LP by a band, trailing only Thriller in worldwide sales.
