Friday, October 15, 2010 at 12:05PM Adrien Brody Gets 'Wrecked' In New Trailer
Adrien Brody is one of my favorite actors working today for one simple reason: he makes interesting choices. He makes the films that he wants to make, and makes them with reckless abandon. His new film Wrecked seems to be no different. Brody plays a man who wakes up from a grizzly car accident in the woods with no memory of who he is or what just happened. And to make things worse there's a couple of dead bodies he can't explain.

Some promo images of the film premiered at this year's Cannes Film Festival, but other than that no one has really heard anything about this film. That might have something to do with the fact that the film's writer and director have no other credits to their name, and there isn't another recognizable person in the cast. While this would typically scare off other actors, I'm sure it was part of the reason Brody took this film. A challenge.
The trailer manages to keep almost all of the film's mystery while giving up just enough of the story to interest audiences. That being said, the film itself seems all too familiar of every other gimmicky single location thriller rolling out of different film festivals each month. But with Brody's screen presence and range I'm still willing to give it a shot.
And it has a mountain lion!

Although there have been some hit & misses but he has always taken some interesting movie choices.
