Sunday, October 17, 2010 at 3:09AM Bradley Cooper Surprised to Hear He'll Play The Flash
We told you on Monday that Bradley Cooper was rumored to be the front-runner for the leading role in The Flash, which is currently in development. SuperHeroHype caught up with the actor recently to follow-up on that rumor, and it turns out that it was complete news to him. Or was it?
Woah there. I'm playing who now?
"I've never heard anything about it ever in my life," Cooper said. "It's funny."
The reasoning behind this rumor seemed to go like this:
- The role of the Green Lantern was between Cooper and Ryan Reynolds
- That part went to Reynolds
- So Cooper must be getting the Flash part.
Of course, that's probably not how things are really going to work, but it sounded reasonable enough.
The other thing to keep in mind here is that Cooper didn't rule it out. In fact, depending on the tone he used, I could see "I've never heard anything about it" being a joke, and maybe he actually is in discussions to take the role. Or he's just sick of the Internet rumor already, and annoyed at being asked about it.
