50 Cent in 'Lives of the Saints' Movie: Act or Die Tryin'

50 Cent's success in hip-hop hasn't translated much into films, but you have give the guy credit for trying.  After all, he pulled a Christian Bale (Machinist) and lost an unhealthy amount of weight for the film, Things Fall Apart.  Now, 50 Cent has his eyes set on a new project Crash 2 Lives of the Saints, which is a film about "intertwining stories of Angelenos seeking redemption for past mistakes, only to find that forgiveness comes from unlikely places." according to the plot description.

Crash was a great film, there is no doubt about that but do we really need another one with almost the exact same plot?  I wouldn't even watch Crash again if I got a free DVD copy of it.  It's just not a film or plot you'd like to see over and over again.  

As for the cast, 50 Cent will join Meg Ryan and John Lithgow with director Chris Rossi helming the project.  The film starts shooting in LA on November 13th.  I can't say I'm looking forward to this one but I'll hold my comments about 50 Cent's acting until I see Things Fall Apart.
