Disney on Track for 'Avengers' and 'Iron Man 3'

With the recent news confirming Disney's purchase of the distribution and marketing rights to Iron Man 3 and The Avengers, there was still some speculation over whether or not the movie would make the release date previously announced by Marvel and Paramount Pictures.

The answer, announced today, is yes. Fans can rest assured that The Avengers will still be released on May 4th of 2012. Audiences can also expect to see Iron Man 3 on May 3rd of 2013. 

Though we have a long time to wait for Iron Man's next high-octane flight, it appears as though it will be well worth it. Director John Favreau is reportedly contemplating topics now ranging from the movie's next super-villain to possibly shooting the film in 3D.
