Sunday, October 31, 2010 at 11:04PM Paranormal Activity Ripped Off 'In Memoriam'?
In 2005, there was a film called In Memorium which was produced on a microscopic budget using the found-footage technique that Paranormal Activity is known for. Of course a horror film using this technique isn't anything new, but couple that with a similar plot where a couple installs motion sensitive video cameras in their home and captures a "paranormal activity" and you basically get the exact same movie.

Except this movie was developed by Amanda Gusack and was actually shown couple years ago before PA but was shelved after not being able to find a buyer. Now, with the success of PA, the filmmakers are releasing the film on IndieFlix.com.
As a big fan of PA, I was skeptical at first, but after checking out the first 18 minutes of the film, I'm intrigued but the acting needs work - seems too scripted. Also, with the fixed cameras it is more similar to PA2.
Check it out

DAT ASS!..... dat acting......
In all seriousness, poor acting but the second half had me going at the end, which is all that matters.
