Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at 5:04PM Bruce Willis Wears Meat Helmet, Isn't Afraid of Alligators
While that is sadly not the case, he did wear a "meat hairpiece" on David Letterman's show last night, claiming he was inspired by Lady Gaga's VMA meat dress. Willis went on to describe the hairpiece as "100% ground beef sirloin. Top shelf, organic." After salt and peppering his meat toupee, Willis somehow convinced Letterman to take a bite out of it.
He was on The Late Show to promote his new film Red, which hits theaters on October 15. As fate would have it, it was actually on the set of Red that he crossed paths with an alligator.
It seems his Red costar Mary-Louise Parker attempted to pull a prank on Willis by unleashing an alligator in his dressing room. According to The New York Daily News, Parker hid the alligator in a cooler, then hid in the shower while castmate John Malkovich lead Willis inside the trailer for a lunch break.
However, the alligator was too small to look particularly ferocious (Parker said it looked more like "a bloated lizard") and Willis was unfazed by its presence. He did, however, appreciate the effort Parker put into the prank.
"He actually was kind of touched that I went through the trouble," she said.
While sadly we do not have footage of Parker's prank, we do have Willis' appearance on Letterman's show below for those who are interested.
