Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at 11:05PM 'The Crow' Remake No Longer Happening?
Not too long ago we reported that there was a remake of The Crow in the works. It was set to star Mark Wahlberg, with Stephen Norrington directing and Nick Cave writing the script. But those opposed to such a thing (myself included) can breathe a bit easier; it seems that may have all been just talk.

Mark Wahlberg, while making his press rounds for his upcoming movie The Fighter, has this to say:
"We never committed to making the movie. They talked to me about it and there was a director attached who I was a fan of, and he's no longer doing it. We just thought about it – 'is there something cool to be done there?' But we're not committed to making the movie."
Now what does this mean? It means there's nothing official in the works. Whether it really was just some guys tossing around the idea and it never bore fruit, or there was enough outcry by the public against this, or it was just leaked too soon, I think we can assume that we won't see a remake of The Crow in the near future. And, if you're like me, you'll hope and pray that this idea will never be more than an idea.
Are we really asking for too much when we want more original ideas in our movies instead of everything remade and rebooted? It seems every decent foreign film is remade into a subpar hack in the states, and everything that made half a buck in the past is being rebooted. Just because there might be some juice left in that turnip, doesn't mean we need to keep squeezing it.

Or they just didn't have an idea. Whether remake, reboot, rehash or something so completely original that people actually DON'T like it, because they really CAN'T deal with something GENUINELY original, the main thing is that you have an idea. Too many times though, movies - from the production side - are all about the deal. This actor, that director, that producer and, oh, here's the story. They just didn't have any of this. They had talk. Talk didn't grow into buzz which also didn't provide any impetus for any deal comin' together. You realize with something like this why remakes are so prevalent. Everybody knows the story, so it's easy to just put that to one side and focus on putting the deal together, they'll work out the differences from the original on the way.
I want Jason Stratham to play the Crow in the remake movie.
Fashion is for everyone. A replica handbags for a modern woman are the ultimate symbol of fashion-consciousness. The status and hence the Alexander Wang Handbags have gained such enormous popularity. They are 100% mirrored the designer ones and crafted from high quality materials. The Balenciaga Handbags are actually designed in such a manner that they're as close to the original as possible. In fact it is extremely difficult to identify one as a replica even if one observes minutely.
The crow is such an amazing movie. I am glad to see that they are making a remake of the movie. I am very happy to hear this. You will not be disappointed at all when you see the movie. bad credit payday loans
