Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at 2:02PM First Trailer for Russell Brand's 'Hop'

A few days ago I shared with you guys the first poster for Russell Brand's new animated feature Hop, in which Brand voices the Easter Bunny whom after being accidentally injured by a slacker (James Marsden) has to live with said slacker while he recovers. If you care, you can check out my enthusiastic thoughts on this idea in the last post.
Well you know what they say, behind every bad poster is an even worse trailer (or something along those lines). And this film is no different. In fact, this trailer really only tells you one thing about the movie: it's from the guys behind Despicable Me. Which, in hindsight, may be a genius move seeing as how it's the best thing it's got going for it.
So without further ado, I give you a rabbit playing the drums...
Seriously, that's the film's first trailer. Well hey, at least they didn't use an overplayed '90s rock song (oh wait...). I guess rather than give any of the film's plot away, the filmmakers decided to go for that whole cute animal Youtube video thing.
Now if only I could teach my pet rabbit to play the drums (yes, I do have a pet rabbit and I named him Captain Oats).

I have to say, I'm really not surprised you have a pet rabbit. Or about the name. It just... fits you.
I think I'll take that as a compliment? haha
