Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at 12:06PM Official Synopsis for 'The Hangover Part II' Released

So we've been posting a lot recently about Todd Phillips' plans for The Hangover boys in his upcoming sequel appropriately named The Hangover Part II. We know [SPOILERS AHEAD] they're going to Thailand, Bill Clinton will show up somewhere, Alan shaves his head, and Stu gets a face tattoo ala Mike Tyson from potentially Liam Neeson.
But what we don't know is why the gang is headed to Thailand... Until now.
Buried in the bottom of the Warner Bros 2011 Preview Kit was the film's first official synopsis:
In the follow-up to the record-breaking hit comedy “The Hangover,” Phil (Bradley Cooper), Stu (Ed Helms), Alan (Zach Galifianakis) and Doug (Justin Bartha) travel to exotic Thailand for Stu’s wedding. After the unforgettable bachelor party in Las Vegas, Stu is taking no chances and has opted for a safe, subdued pre-wedding brunch. However, things don’t always go as planned. What happens in Vegas may stay in Vegas, but what happens in Bangkok can’t even be imagined.
So there's not a lot there, but it's definitely enough to wet our appetite. I have to admit that when I first heard the sequel was going to Thailand, I got a little worried. From a story standpoint, after all the shenanigans that went down in the first film, the guys just going to Thailand for another blowout wouldn't really make sense. But once again, in Todd Phillips I trust.
Oh, and another tidbit, expect a flashback to the gang's childhood days. So far IMDB has actors listed playing 'Young Alan' and 'Young Stu'.
The Hangover Part II is scheduled for a May 26, 2011 release.

I'm pretty sure it's "whet" our appetite. Just for future reference.
