'Super' Set for Release

James Gunn's upcoming superhero comedy starring Rainn Wilson has finally released its debut date: April 1st! And they're not foolin', we hope.

The film follows your average Joe, named Frank, as he transforms himself into a superhero called "The Crimson Bolt". When his wife (Liv Tyler) begins canoodling with a smooth talking drug dealer (Kevin Bacon) Frank must take up arms, or a wrench, and take care of business. Teamed up with "Boltie", his sidekick, (Ellen Page) the two are here to save the day.

Sounds a little bit like Kick-Ass, doesn't it? Well, as they say, there are no original ideas anymore. But, Super did premier at the Toronto Film Festival with fabulous reviews, so we may have a hilarious treat in store for us this coming spring.
