Zombieland was one of my favorite movies of 2009. It had an excellent cast and script, humor and action. Before it was even done with it's theatrical run, there was talk of a sequel. And today, I have for you information on said sequel. However, there is a small spoiler involved, so if you somehow haven't seen it and don't want a surprise cameo ruined, don't continue past the click.
Bill Murray's surprise scene in Zombieland was definitely one of the best scenes in the movie. So good, in fact, that the creators want to do it again. They're looking for someone iconic like Murray was, and rumor has it they're after an actor like Harrison Ford or Anthony Hopkins. I hope they find someone, but I also hope they don't go the same route as The Hangover Part 2 does, and publicize it to death.
As far a script highlights, all that's been leaked is that there is a head villain with comedic roots. It also has the return of Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson) who will have a "hunky rival" to deal with. Sounds like it won't be a rehash of the original, dealing with more of a human conflict element instead of just survive.
As far as returning cast members, the only confirmed one is Jesse Eisenberg, but I can only imagine that Woody Harrelson is a given. Not sure if Emma Stone will have time, considering her Spider-man commitment. And if Stone can't return, I doubt Abigail Breslin will be back, since their characters were fairly close. But anything can happen, since there's no word as to when shooting will begin.

i bet this movie never happens now that Jesse Eisenberg is going to get better roles offered to him because of The Social Network. I'm sure he'll drop out first, then maybe they go on with a new person that harrelson's character crosses paths with in the movie and a new storyline appears, but that would be stupid. Mark my word, Zombieland 2 never happens.
I disagree. Just because Eisenberg was great in The Social Network doesn't mean he'll turn down an offer to star in Zombie Land 2. It's still a good role for him.
100 percent disagree. As long as Woody comes back, thats all they need to make this movie happen. I know the first one was narrated by Eisenberg's character, but maybe this time it could be by Tallahassee.
