'Zoolander 2' is Almost a Sure Thing

"What is this? A center for ants? How can we be expected to teach children to learn how to read... if they can't even fit inside the building?!"

The first Zoolander wasn't that highly rated.  But like it or not, any fan of comedies will agree that there's some great lines in the film.  That's why I'm very excited to hear that Owen Wilson and Ben Stiller read the script, liked it, and we'll probably do it sooner rather than later.  

Early November we reported that Viacom will make the film.  However, we weren't really sure who would be involved in the project.  Says Wilson, "I just saw him (Ben Stiller) now and we’re talking about doing another Zoolander movie."  When asked about the film going into production, Wilson responded, "I think so. I think there’s a really good script and I think we’re going to do it.”

The take away here is that both Stiller and Wilson read the script and liked it.  Unlike the first time around, both of these actors have "made it" big.  Yes, even Owen Wilson who received $10 million for a third or fourth lead in How Do You Know.  So if they thought the script was garbage, they wouldn't do it.  Expect unforgettable lines and ridiculous hilarity in 2012.  Or so I predict.
