Penélope Cruz In Talks for 'Pirates 4'

No Keira, no problem. Heat Vision Blog says that Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides will get its sizzle from Penélope Cruz, who just received her third Oscar nomination in five years for her work in Nine. Cruz thanked director Rob Marshall in her post-nomination comments, and he's the director of the next Pirates movie. Coincidence? Not likely. As for her role, the specifics are fairly well guarded, although Heat Vision allows, "she is to be [Captain Jack Sparrow]'s foil and equal in many ways." I suppose that's pretty good casting. We know the film will feature a search for the Fountain of Youth, which is famously associated with the Spanish explorer Ponce de León. And who's the top Spanish export right now? Plus, between Johnny Depp and Penélope, even if they are grimed up a bit, that's one helluva good looking movie poster. On Stranger Tides shoots this summer in Hawaii and will be in theaters May 20, 2011. We know that Geoffrey Rush is returning, but the rest of the cast from the first trilogy is not involved. There's no word yet on whether Cruz will play a prominent role in future voyages or if she's being envisioned as the first in a series of Sparrow Girls.

Sounds like spot on casting, I mean Penelope is on fire just like you noted, & I'am right now picturing her in my head, as a pirate or a fair maiden & dammmmm she will be unbelievably HOT!!!
