UK Poster for Roman Polanski's 'Ghost Writer'

Over the weekend, Roman Polanski picked up a Best Director award at the Berlin Film Festival for The Ghost Writer. "Wait," you're saying, "the Nic Cage thing with the flamin' skull?" No. Not that. It's a political thriller based on the book The Ghost by Robert Harris, which explains the title change on the UK quad below.
Poster courtesy of IMP Awards Some say Polanski's Golden Bear win has as much to do with the industry supporting him against the 30-year-old charges of sex with a minor that recently saw the director incarcerated. The case has still yet to be decided. I hope that's not it. First of all: Pick something else to support. It's always smart to keep a little distance from a guy convicted of a sex crime, and that's good advice generally. Secondly: If someone else did a better job, please reward them instead. Now, with those things being pointed out, there is plenty of good press for The Ghost Writer itself. Some negative reviews, but about three times as many positive notices. And the trailer is simply terrific. Ghost Writer did very well in four theaters this past weekend, taking in $45,000 a screen. It will obviously expand into more theaters soon (this weekend, in fact), so if the word is as good in the public as it has been in the press, maybe it will be a win for Polanski for the right reasons.

Some may believe Polanski’s latest movie "The Ghost Writer" is a nightmare, bearing no resemblance to reality, or to his current situation, but this isn’t true since certain aspects mirror Roman Polanski’s own demise in America in 1978, which was not all of his own doing.

In the movie there are two ghost writers, who never meet, because the first one dies, before the other arrives. Both are linked by the same manuscript, the same people, the same location, the same corruption, the same cover-up, and the same set of circumstances which seeks to silence and kill them for exposing corruption.

In the movie the first ghost writer perishes under strange circumstances much as Roman Polanski did In America by flight by the end of January 1978 due to Judicial Misconduct against him.

Just like the movie, and in reality a second victim exists, who experiences what Polanski experiences - that is Judicial corruption in the same Santa Monica Courthouse.

For the second victim the official corruption came in the form of Judicial misconduct and police brutality against her, with undocumented white County of Los Angeles Sheriffs positioned in the Courtroom & specifically there to assault and batter her, for exposing Santa Monica College Police cover up of her sexual assault complaint against a photography teacher at Santa Monica College, which sexual assault occurred in his darkroom class, by trapping her and surprising her from behind.

By exposing the police corruption which the Santa Monica Court was given notice of through the claim that was filed days in advance, she was subjected to a staged hearing and attacked in the courtroom by a number of undocumented White County of Los Angeles Sheriffs' Deputies and one defendant African American Santa Monica College Police Officer in front of the County of Los Angeles judge .

This same County of Los Angeles Judge has since been promoted to the California Court of Appeals by the former California Governor on police brutality day, just as Jay S. Bybee’s who signed the Torture Memos for the Bush Administration was promoted by the former President to become a judge on the 9th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals in 2003.

In the movie “The Ghost Writer” a Harvard Professor is linked to the CIA., which is the same as Jay S. Bybee's affiliation to the CIA through signing the Torture Memos, Bybee has also written for Harvard an article entitled, “ The Tenth Amendment Among the Shadows: On Reading the Constitution in Plato’s Cave, 23 HARV. J.L. & PUB. POL’Y 551 (2000)

As Polanski and another person has been victimized in the shadows of the same Cave, the Santa Monica Courthouse, who have never met, but yet whose paths are inextricably crossed through the Judicial Misconduct and corruption that they were exposed to there, Polanski’s claim for Judicial Misconduct is strengthened even further, since the Santa Monica Court’s exploitation of these two different sexual assault cases, illustrates how the County of Los Angeles Santa Monica Court has engaged in a double standard which depends on who the perpetrator is – i.e. foreign born Roman Polanski or California Santa Monica College state employee who is being assisted by corrupt police, and the Court itself.

In reality the second victim of the Santa Monica Courthouse sued but instead of any quick resolution, and apart from two rays of light of two precedent decisions, she has been slowly tortured by the endless litigation for nearly 12 years, in addition to being sexually assaulted, framed by the police and beaten up, and not to forget falsely arrested.

On January 11th 2006 Judge Jay S. Bybee of the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, who had signed the Torture Memos for the Bush administration years earlier, wrote a decision in the 9th Circuit U.S. Appeals Court, which has been used by the lower Federal Court to terminate the second victim’s civil rights case which does include the Santa Monica Judge's Judicial misconduct against her,, the staged hearing, and the police brutality in his courtroom in retaliation for reporting police corruption.

Polanski’s movie "The Ghost Writer" warns writers and viewers to not look for the truth, or expose facts that Officials do not want you to expose, because if you dare expose those political facts, or if you dare to report that you were sexually molested from behind by a Santa Monica College photography professor in his class, or if you dare to report Police corruption or Santa Monica Judicial Misconduct you may end up a ghost of yourself, and dead upon arrival.

No the first call may have come from higher up because the movie "The Ghost Writer" speaks of Official connections to war crimes, and this possibly could have hit an Official sore spot.

And talking of war crimes would you rather be oppressed by being a prisoner in Abu Ghraib,

or by being a young girl in Roman Polanski’s hot tub, which may have been a consensual affair, and thus not true oppression,

or would you rather be oppressed by being assaulted and battered in a Santa Monica Courtroom California by a number of undocumented white County of Los Angeles Sheriff Deputies and the African American Police Officer defendant in front of the County of Los Angeles Judge, who is now a California Justice, in the very same Santa Monica Courthouse as Roman Polanski.

for reporting Santa Monica College Officials and their police cover up of sexual assault complaint against a California employed photography instructor that occurred from behind in his color printing darkroom class.

Bottom line is this - the amount of oppression that Roman Polanski could bring is rather minor in comparison to the Abuse of Power and Oppression Officials en masse do create under color of law,

or Officials create through ratifying the "Torture Memos" which then enables Officials to eviscerate people's civil rights, regardless of whether that torture occurs behind closed doors at the Santa Monica Courthouse in California, or abroad.

It was a silver bear win. Also the author may be confused, perhaps the silver bear win was because Berlin and the movie industry genuinely liked the move The Ghost. After all it is very Polanski and very Hitchcock, funny thrilling and entertaining.

In addition the author and many others are not aware of the entire situation in Los Angeles California

Because a double standard exists in how sexual assault cases are decided in County of Los Angeles Santa Monica Courthouse, California.

Roman Polanski was not treated straightforwardly by the Judge in 1977. This is why this case has lingered on for 33 years.

Roman Polanski wanted to make good since he would not have returned to America, and served time in 1977 & 78 , if this were untrue.

A double standard is in operation at the Santa Monica Courthouse, which hinges on whether the perpetrator works for California Government and its subdivisions.

If that criteria is met then the Santa Monica Court and other County of Los Angeles employees will act in concert in the local Government's favor to cover up their employees on the job sexual molestation crimes and police cover up.

But if the perpetrator or victim are not working for California and its subdivisions, were born in another country, then the Santa Monica Court and other employees will act against them, using any means and foul means.

In addition as Polanski admitted to a crime by plea bargain, the Santa Monica Judge should have honored it. When the Judge in 1977 wanted to force Polanski into deportation, using illegal coercion in the sentencing, the Judge broke the plea bargain agreement, abused his official power, using bait and switch justice,

which betrayed the righteous legal process, destroyed Polanski's trust in it, and caused Polanski to flee.

California Officials are not policing their own institutional sexual offenders who work for the State and its subdivisions, but instead will act to cover up, physically harm, assault and batter the victim for reporting the offense, and re-victimize the victim instead. This oppression is built into California's Justice system.

In view of the double standard it would be in the interests of justice to free Roman Polanski, as soon as possible.

In fact it's a perfect time to pardon Roman Polanski,

In view of the judicial, & prosecutorial corruption against Polanski that occurred in his case, plus the double standard in sexual assault cases at the Santa Monica Courthouse in California, which double standard is firmly entrenched,

It's also a good time for California to attend to its own ills.

However currently the California Appeal Court and County of Los Angeles Superior Court is diverting attention away from the Judicial & Prosecutorial corruption that occurred in Polanski's case in 1977, by blaming Polanski for not being in Los Angeles,

but what came first the chicken or the egg,

the County of Los Angeles Judicial corruption or Polanski fleeing?

Of course it was the County of Los Angeles Judicial & Prosecutorial Corruption,

Back in 1978 Polanski faced a trap. He was damned if he stayed in Los Angeles, and damned if he took flight. Damned if he did, Damned if he didn't. And he had honored the plea bargain agreement by serving time at Chino.

In 1978 Polanski faced a Catch-22 situation.

So could it be that the California Appeal Court Second District does not really want to investigate the Judicial corruption in Polanski's case, or for that matter in any other case?

And does absolute power corrupt absolutely.
