Friday, February 26, 2010 at 11:45AM New French Featurette for 'Iron Man 2'
Courtesy of a new French featurette, we can see more of Iron Man 2, including the beginning of a scene that could have loads of fireworks. That scene, as you might have already deduced, features Robert Downey, Jr. and Mickey Rourke.

The US trailer is tacked on to the end of this video, but we still get a glimpse at some things that will really help set up the primary thrust of the film: The not-so-fine how do you do in Monaco in which Rourke's Whiplash cuts Tony Stark's formula one race car in half. As ScarJo says (through the assistance of subtitles), "La scène de Monaco va être vraiment trop," or the whole Monaco scene is ridiculously off-the-hook.
Iron Man 2 was the second place finisher in a poll we published at the beginning of the year; 30% of voters said it would be the biggest money earner of 2010. Not a real stretch. The winner of that poll was Inception, but I don't see that making $300 million-plus. Maybe it is, but Iron Man 2 seems like the safest bet to hit that mark.

Don't get me wrong, super stoked. But it does look like its playing the TDK card in a few spots no? The interrogation scene especially... Also, I would have like to see a little more than 2 seconds of Sam Rockwell.
You're definitely right on point B (more Rockwell), and you might be right on point A. I would hate for them to just re-create that, but I'm still in favor of having those two guys in an empty room for five minutes.
I'm still just praying it doesn't turn into another Spider-man fiasco with too much going on in one movie. I've still got high hopes, but they really do have quite a lot of characters to squeeze in there...
And yeah, Sam Rockwell should've gotten more recognition in the trailer. I agree wholeheartedly. He's one of those guys that just makes every movie better.
I was never a fan of comics but have to admit i've pretty much enjoyed all the releases under the Marvel banner. So yeh im looking forward to it Iron man was about the only character I'd come across in my childhood.
