Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at 5:06PM Director's Cut 'Repo Men' Red Band Trailer
There's a new Red Band trailer for Repo Men, called a "Director's Cut." It's certainly a different cut because the sequences are a little longer and it doesn't have the energy a normal two-minute commercial for a movie would. And I actually prefer it that way.

I've been scratching my head as to why the posters for Repo Men are so cool but the trailers aren't for a while, and the new director's cut may have answered my question. I don't think the movie is as action-packed as the first batch of trailers try to make it out to be. So this new look at Repo Men seems to fit a little better, in my opinion.
Take a look and see if you think this one does a better sales job than the previous trailers. To me, it's very much a future noir, and the slower pace seems to be more in line with that approach.Trailer courtesy of Trailer Spy
Repo Men opens next Friday, March 19th.

looks better than the other trailers
qeuation, is this movie a remake or in any way related to "repo the genetic opera"? Because it seems like it has quite a few things in common like guys who reposess unpaid for transplanted organs.
No, it is not in any way related to Repo! The Genetic Opera, but its clear from the get-go they're looking to pull that same audience. Its the same basic concept minus the music, just add in Jude Law and Forest Whitaker.
Its the studio's attempt to capitalize on an idea that made money before. Just like how Harry Potter spawned Percy Jackson, and that horrible looking The Wizard's Apprentice.
