Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at 9:30AM Looks Like a Depp 'Jump Street' Cameo May Happen
With the 21 Jump Street movie starting to gather steam for co-writer and co-producer Jonah
Hill (seriously, that Jonah Hill), Johnny Depp was asked several weeks ago what he thought about the project.
Surprisingly, since Depp was itching to get off the show almost as soon as it began, he admitted he'd love to do a cameo.

That was music to Hill's ears, as you might expect. "[Depp and I] haven't had any direct contact before. I've just heard
that he's interested and I'm more than interested," Hill confirmed to some music channel. "We will make that happen. If he
is down to do it, we have written a really, really funny cameo for him in the movie."
But there's still scheduling to consider. But not Depp's, at least, not exclusively: Hill has a busy year ahead of him. As
you probably know, he's co-starring in Get Him to the Greek this summer, and there will be plenty of traveling
around to promote that. But he's also got real work, too.
"I'm going to make Moneyball and then this movie The Sitter with myself and [Pineapple Express
director] David Gordon Green and then we're going to go straight into 21 Jump Street, which is coming along
phenomenally."
The hope is now that the film will shoot beginning early next year, meaning we're probably 18 - 20 months away from Jump Street hitting theaters.
