Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at 10:01PM Stewart Meets Julianne Moore at the End of the World
It has not been a sea change for the careers of Kristen Stewart and Robert
Pattinson outside of the Twilight movies. Her Adventureland from last spring
was OK and did OK, while his Remember Me did far worse than anyone expected, making only about $10 million in its
debut.
Stewart gets another chance this weekend with The Runaways, which will be be in limited release for a
little while, and she just signed up to star opposite Julianne Moore in Backwoods, directed by
Moore's husband, Bart
Freundlich. That one probably doesn't have a ton of box office potential, either, but it
does put Stewart back on the road to not being a teen idol, more the way she started her career.
Showbiz 411 says it's a movie about the end of the
world, and isn't it time we had a movie that dealt with end times? Refreshing.
Backwoods will go into production this summer, more than likely fitting around Stewart's promotional blitz for
Twilight: Eclipse. I believe she had plenty of potential a couple years ago, but now she seems to fall back on that
weird low self-esteem thing in her acting. It works for Bella Swan but I'd like to see the girl from Into the Wild
again, and more often.
Moore got off track for a while, too, beginning with Freedomland. That's one of the worst performances by a great
actor I've seen in a long time. But she earned all sorts of raves and nominations for A Single Man, so maybe she's
corrected her course.

Outstanding recipe. I live at the other end of the grilled pizza spectrum. 10 minutes to make using par-baked Crusts like MamaMary's. Make em fast and easy
Here's hoping more labels wise up and do this.
Having had the pleasure of meeting and briefly conversing with STEWART (while in Toronto during the TWILIGHT CRAZINESS to appear on MUCH MUSIC)and found her to be a very intelligent and engaging young lady(PLUS SHE'S HOT)it's unfortunate she'll be remembered for flicks that were nothing more than teen fodder.STEWART and MOORE together!!?? MY GOD IN HEAVEN,THAT'S SWEET!!
