Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at 12:52AM 'Harold and Kumar 3' Might Shoot This Summer
While John Cho offered no update on the Star Trek sequel, the FlashForward star told Collider that a third Harold and Kumar movie might happen much sooner than you think.

One reason for a longer delay: Kal Penn now works in the Obama Administration as Associate Director of the White House Office of Public Engagement. Might be hard to skip work to film a movie. However, Cho thinks it might shoot as early as June, with - of course - the return of Neil Patrick Harris.
I thought the sequel would do better business, of course, it would have helped if it had been a slightly better film. Still, these things cost very little, so both movies have been successful. A third one, according to Cho, would be a few years in the future, with Harold and Kumar no longer living together. And, here's something: The threequel is going to be a holiday movie.
Even better news for H & K fans is that the movie may open this holiday season. That may seem like a fast turnaround, but five months is plenty of time to get this shot and edited. It's not like they're making some masterpiece with complicated effects sequences and exotic locations.
We'll see how it shapes up. In addition to Penn's schedule, there's apparently no director yet. Might want to sort that out.

I didn't like the last film, but I'd be down to see their take on a holiday film. It could be called Harold and Kumar Save Christmas or something.
However, is Kal Penn really up for making another film? He's literally gone on to do much bigger and better things- from working as an actor in a stoner comedy to working for the goddamn President of the United States.
