Trailer - Jason Statham in 'The Mechanic' Remake

We'll get you a higher quality version when it's available, but in the meantime, here's the first international trailer for The Mechanic with Jason Statham. It's a remake of the Charles Bronson flick from the 1970s, and I've mentioned before that this is the kind of remake they - they being the Hollywood folks - should explore more often. It's not on the level of familiarity as Death Wish, and it's neither a movie that's too good to touch nor too bad to avoid. It's almost like starting from scratch. This remake features Ben Foster, who's a real wild card. I don't mean that he can be good or bad in a film, just that you never exactly what character he's going to come up with. That's great, so hopefully he finds some really warped thing to do in this flick.
Trailer courtesy of Trailer Spy We'll have to wait until December 15th to see this one, which seems like an odd time to roll it out. The Mechanic could get lost in all that awards season/holiday season madness.
