Is the prospect of a fourth Austin Powers movie at all appealing? Mike Myers hasn't been funny in a decade,
although the last time he was funny was the second Austin flick. But more than that, Goldmember came out in 2002, and ten
years is a long time for people to wait, especially if the previous movie in the series was that bad.

But a fourth movie may be exactly what we get. Director Jay Roach tells MTV that Myers is already working on ideas for the film, and that
he'd jump right into the franchise again.
"Mike gave me my first shot directing on Austin Powers 1. Just said, 'Hey, you should direct this movie,' when I hadn't directed
much of anything. So I love that group of people and what could be better than going back into that."
A few years ago, there was some talk that a fourth movie should (and very well could) be more about Dr. Evil, and I think that's where
the future is the brightest. Goldmember should never be heard from again, Fat Bastard got old in a hurry, but Dr. Evil is one of Myers'
all-time best characters, including his Saturday Night Live creations. It also gives us a stronger reason to revisit the
characters, because the world would be slightly tilted on its axis.
But if that's in the cards, Roach isn't talking. "That's hard to say," Roach responded when asked about the possible direction of the
plot. "Somewhere you haven't thought of."
