Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 8:23AM Better Trailer Emerges for 'Despicable Me'
There are signs of life for Universal's Despicable Me, a nice surprise give how uninspiring last month's
international trailer was. The new feature trailer it's a marked step up, and it appears that there's plenty of stuff going on in the
movie.
Gru (Steve Carell) is one of the world's best (or is that worst?) supervillains. To show up a rival, Gru decides to steal the moon. Yep,
that would do it. There's a new subplot introduced here, that I really like. Gru is apparently stuck babysitting three very young kids.
A couple things still bother me, but they're minor. For example, Steve Carell's accent. Could be one of those that's so bad it's good.
Right now, it's just so bad. Also, do we really need the NBC logo in here, Universal? Whores.
Despicable Me arrives on July 9th.

This movie at first caught me off guard, but the more I see of it... the more I want to see it. Should be good! Steve Carell?!?!? =)
