Sunday, April 4, 2010 at 4:40PM In the UK? Watch the 'Red Riding' Trilogy for Free
The Red Riding trilogy, which earned huge critical acclaim when the miniseries aired on Channel 4 last year, is being remade by Ridley Scott. Right now, Scott is slated to direct, but he has so many projects going at any one time, that it's hard to say whether or not that will stick.

The miniseries examines police corruption and the investigation of the disappearance of several young girls, and was split up chronologically: 1974, 1980, and 1983. I don't know if Scott's plan is to make three films or just one, although if anyone gets their hands on Steve Zaillian's script, that would probably give us a definitive answer.
Even though Scott's project is a couple years away, you might want to watch the trilogy, which is now available online at SeeSaw...but only if you're in the UK. If you're in the US, I found the trilogy available for about $33 through DaaVeeDee, and it's also a VOD title until May 3rd. And if this is all new to you, here's a trailer for the first chapter, 1974.
