Megan Fox Replacing Rose McGowan for 'Red Sonja'?

A new report by Pajiba lists Megan Fox as a possible replacement for Rose McGowan in Red Sonja. Wait...what? Well, Red Sonja has been on blocks in Robert Rodriguez' front lawn for a while, and now it's apparently being reworked from the ground up. If it's true, it's a very, very good move. Whether or not Megan Fox can sell movie tickets is debatable. Whether or not McGowan can is not. She won't produce much heat in the months leading up to any release this film might have. Fox, at the very least, gets those free magazine covers. There are other factors. For starters, McGowan's pushing 40; Fox is pushing 25. OK...that might be the end of the other factors. Now, Fox hasn't accepted the role, according to this report, but it makes sense that the producers would target her, even if she hasn't done much but run around in the two Transformers flicks. I still don't think Fox is the best they could do, but at least it'll generate more buzz building up to the opening weekend. Apparently, director Douglas Aarniokoski is gone, as well, and Millennium Films is trying to find a new writer. So it's a complete and total reconstruction. Fox probably wouldn't accept any role in a film like this without a director or a script, so it might be a while before this turns into anything.

Yeah...this move doesn't excite me. Let me know when she's in the reboot of Showgirls. I'd rather see Milla Jovovich in this role.

I would, too, but she's also on the tail end of action goddess status. I'd like to see a little more originality than going for Megan Fox, but they've got to get a star or it'll be DOA.

Megan fox has already bombed at being in a lead role. Rose has not. Milla would be a good choice for the role of Red Sonja but I am hoping for Rose. That's why I was interested in the movie in the first place.
