First Look: Peter Sarsgaard in 'Green Lantern'

Below is a snapshot of Peter Sarsgaard as Dr. Hector Hammond in Green Lantern. That, or he's doing Mask as a one-man show. I think it's the first one, though. Green Lantern could be a big deal for Warner Bros. and DC Comics, which at this point really only has Batman with any kind of momentum. They're rebooting Superman for the second straight movie, can't get going on Wonder Woman, and probably won't do a Justice League movie until Chris Nolan wraps up his Batman arc. Casting Ryan Reynolds was a great move, I like Martin Campbell directing, and it's littered with good pick-ups like Sarsgaard, but it's still a pretty hard movie to get right because of all the space elements. I wonder if the big head will look silly on screen, he said, remembering how silly Kevin Durand looked in Wolverine as The Blob. He kind of fit in with most everything else, though. Tim Robbins is playing Hammond's father in this, by the way, another solid bit of casting. Green Lantern is shooting in Louisiana now, working towards a June 17th release date next year.
