Sunday, May 16, 2010 at 11:18PM Poster - Woody's 'You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger'
The early word for Woody Allen's You Will Meet a Tall Dark
Stranger is encouraging. Playing the Cannes Film Festival, a favorite haunt of the writer-director, Tall Dark
Stranger is being called "his most assured and sprightly work in many years" by The Guardian. Here's the poster
that accompanied the film's premiere in France, and I kind of dig it for its simplicity. Click to see the whole thing:

The romantic comedy (well, by Woody's standards) stars Naomi Watts, Josh Brolin, Anthony Hopkins...and, well, you can read the poster. The movie
opens in September in the US, where Allen has kind of found his stride once again following bad notices for a few films in a row on the heels of a
crippling and very public circus.
But Vicki Cristina Barcelona was his biggest hit since Annie Hall, if you can believe it, and ever since Match Point, he seems
to be more focused and delivering higher quality films, on the whole. And Tall Dark Stranger appears to be off to a good start.
