Friday, May 21, 2010 at 2:08PM Ashley Greene In Talks To Star in 'Scream 4'
Scream 4, perhaps realizing its youngest returning principal cast member will be 37 when it's released next year, is looking for some new hotness. Ashley Greene is a good place to start, I think. Greene, who recently got a fat raise from the Twilight franchise, along with her co-supporting players, is one of the names being pursued for Scream, along with Hayden Panetierre, Rory Culkin, and Lake Bell.

Heat Vision reports that Greene would essentially be the new Sidney, playing Neve Campbell's cousin in the film. And that's why I said
earlier in the week that out of all the Twilight cast members, Greene had the strongest case for getting more money; her phone will be ringing off the hook for a couple years. Supposing this is the beginning of a new trilogy, here comes three movies for her.
Panetierre would play Greene's best friend, and she'd fill the Jamie Kennedy film geek role, as well. Culkin would be the new Skeet Ulrich, and is it time for that, frankly? Lake Bell, older than the rest, is negotiating to play a police officer who knew Campbell's Sidney in high school.
Of the four, it sounds like Greene's character would be in for the long haul, but they'd probably kill off Panetierre in the following movie, just for some oomph. We know something like this had to happen, because Campbell and the two Arquettes certainly weren't going to resume their roles for an entire trilogy. I still think Neve gets offed early in this one; it's a good way to tie up the first franchise and launch the second.
Wes Craven's direcing, the film will be in 3-D, and it begins shooting in July for an April 2011 release.

Like I said back in the Megan Fox thread, Ashley Greene is probably the other Twilight female cast member who'll break out besides Anna Kendrick. This is at least a step in some sort of direction, whether it's the right one or not, I'll leave that to horror film fanatics.
Vince I agree...
I actually was going to post similar comments before I had just read what you wrote lol.... Oh how people think alike.
Completely agree, ever since I became aware of her, she has leading lady (perhaps) potential. Only one with some talent that needs a lot of tuning. I do think she can break out and with this (however shtitty it is) she can.
Anna Kendrick on the other hand is and will continue to be a huge star in the future i think
