Violence! Profanity! Violence! The 'Machete' Trailer

Machete is back, with a special dedication to Arizona on Cinco De Mayo. You know what that's all about, and it happens to tie in beautifully with the subject of the movie: Illegal immigration. Who would've thought a Grindhouse trailer would evoke the politics of the day? So here's the first trailer for Machete, which stars Danny Trejo as the Mexican you just shouldn't cross. Only they do, "they" being Robert De Niro and Jeff Fahey. Also, apparently, Don Johnson. Batting for the home team: Michelle Rodriguez, Cheech Marin, and Jessica Alba. Unaffiliated, at least by their limited involvement in this trailer, are Steven Seagal and Lindsay Lohan. It looks terrible, which is to say it's hit its target. Some movies can be so bad they're good, and this one is making every effort to do just that. That's a compliment. Check it out: Machete opens on Labor Day weekend, which is traditionally the worst weekend of the year for new movies.

I like the homages to the original "fake" trailer, so needless to say this'll at least be entertaining in a corny, tongue-in-cheek way.

2 hours of corny is aweful. The trailer worked because you didn't have to sit through an entire movie of it. This will fall in to the catagory of needless/stupid movie that will be on video before the end of summer.

It seems better than the other grindhouse movies. I actually just saw a exploitation type movie called bitch slap. it was awesome it understood the term "exploitable elements" I hope this movie is more like bitch slap less like those grindhouse movies.
