Ugh: 'The Smurfs' Teaser Trailer

Well, we didn't expect much out of the first trailer for The Smurfs. Mission accomplished. You won't enjoy this, because you have common sense. And I think all these live-action/CGI hybrids based on old kids' TV shows use the exact same template: Faux-serious beginning, quick shot of the characters we know so well (accompanied by a throwback song from the 80s we also know so well), title card, unimpressive trumpeting of the fact it's in 3-D, not-so-clever use of the familiar characters out of their element, and...scene. Seriously, this trailer could be for anything, and I'm sure, some day soon, it will be. You've been warned. Now get "Smurf'd." Yep. That's for real.
