Thursday, July 15, 2010 at 5:54PM Bloody Movie Swag Mailed Out for 'Let Me In'
I'm going to take a wild guess that what I got in the mail today is viral marketing stuff for Let Me In. The nondescript package has a return address of PO Box 666, Los Alamos, New Mexico, and that's where the events of the film take place. Or at least, it filmed in New Mexico. Anyway, the real clue is the bloody funnel contained inside, and featured below.

Let Me In is, as you know or if you didn't you will as soon as you read the next statement, a remake of the Swedish film Let the Right One In. And there's cause for a bloody funnel in that movie. I don't know about the PO Box 666, unless that truly was a coincidence, because implying a Satanic connection really changes things in the story.
But otherwise, a big ol' hell yeah to Overture.

That is amazing!
That's awesome. Colin, do you get a lot of these neat-o promotional goodies for upcoming films? I'd love for you to share them with us, since we're probably missing out, being average moviegoers.
Friggin' cool. The Swedish film was great. Hope the U.S. version is just as good. This is awesome viral marketing.
They don't send out as many as they did two, three years ago, Vince. It used to be something every few days. My all-time favorite is a nesting doll from Being John Malkovich with all the characters trapped inside Malkovich.
