Honestly, I think I kind of hate it. Well, maybe that's a bit rough. I prefer the comic book look over this new CGI creation. The mask works and Reynolds absolutely is the right choice, but the striations on the chest bother me. Maybe I'm alone there. But in my opinion, this is more nippled Clooney Batsuit than bad-ass Keaton Batsuit.
Thoughts?

Well I don't hate it but i can't say that I love it either, personally i would have liked it a costume closer to the comic too.
That being said to me the picture looks like he is "activating" his uniform and that's why everything is glowing so brightly.
I agree. Green Lantern doesn't need a giant CGI makeover. This is way too much. I think spiderman had it right. Stick with a good costume and just give it some CGI flare. This looks very fake i guess is the word. I wouldn't want this suit to become the Christian Bale batman voice of the Green Lantern movies.
I'm gonna hold off judgement til I actually see the trailer and see how it looks in the movie, but if I have to judge off this one picture then I'm in the same boat as Colin.
I'm not a Green Lantern fan, so I'm sure the faithful would have a problem with it. However, I love hunting fanboys and shooting them down to Planet Earth when I can. I don't think that you can translate this directly from the comic without going into a campy "comic book" style, ala the old Batman tv series, so you have to make things more "believeable" "acessable" for a bigger, non-fan, audience. Look at some of the things they did with Superman. So this looks like cool thing about a guy with an "alien suit" or "alien powers" which is the BASIC premise that you'd go from in adapting this. Obviously, they don't want to turn off the fans TOO much, so that's where how well they do on everything else comes into play.
You can't go the Spider-Man route with Green Lantern. Spider-Man wears a suit made of fabric, Green Lantern wears a suit made of energy. The suit is supposed to look like alien tech. I am just hoping that the black parts of Green Lanterns costume are actually there and he isn't just completely green.
I really hope that is just the power up phase of the suit and the energy striations are not there. Also, what Ryan Reynolds cant use his will power to create a green razor and SHAVE???? At least they didn't screw with the logo.
I know nothing about the character, but the picture just looks silly to me.
When I saw it, I was disappointed. A few hours later, I'm still not feeling it. It kind of looks like muscle tissue photoshoped green.
