Trailer - Downey and Galifianakis in 'Due Date'

Damn, I really had hoped that Due Date wouldn't be a pretty direct lift of Planes, Trains and Automobiles, but the trailer says otherwise. Because with Robert Downey, Jr., Zach Galifianakis, and director Todd Phillips, it really doesn't need to to evoke anything. The story is simple: Downey's got to drive cross country to get back for the birth of his son and Galifianakis is an actor headed to California, too, so they decide to take the trip together. I'm sure there's a reason they can't fly. Has to be. Anyway, they can't, so they drive, and hijinks hijack their best laid plans. I'm sure this will be funny, but I wish there wasn't such an obvious hint as to what it's about. Here's the trailer:

I think there's a reason they can't fly, too. When they show Robert Downey, Jr.'s name, I think he's sitting on a plane. And then something happens.
