'Furiosa': Yet Another 'Mad Max' Sequel Rumored

George Miller is returning to the apocalypse with Mad Max: Fury Road, but is he stopping there? TwitchFilm writes that the director is planning a Matrix-like back-to-back shoot of two Mad Max sequels, and that the fifth film in the series would be released shortly after Fury Road. "The title already known to the public is Mad Max: Fury Road," writes Twitch, "and word is that Fury Road will be followed immediately by Mad Max: Furiosa. The two films will reportedly be shot back to back for rapid release." Now, that's not confirmed by Miller or anyone else, but Miller has barely confirmed anything. We know Tom Hardy is the new Max and we know Charlize Theron has a big role. Nicholas Hoult and Zoë Kravitz have also been mentioned for the cast, and recently, Teresa Palmer said she was not in Fury Road as previously rumored. The first of these two films will be out in 2012, at a date yet to be determined. Maybe they'd do a summer/fall thing if there actually will be two films. Or maybe it's fall 2012/summer 2013. Of course, it's kind of hard to say we could even want a fifth film; we don't know anything about the fourth one to speak of. And it's not like we've been dying for this series to come back after Thunderdome, anyway.
