Thursday, July 22, 2010 at 9:21PM Comic-Con: Six Character Posters for 'Sucker Punch'
Sometimes we decry the abusive touch Photoshop lends to movie poster designs. They can really go overboard removing wrinkles or changing hair or bodies, and it's almost always obvious. Here's an example - rare, at that - of too much being just enough. Check out the highly stylized babes of Zack Snyder's Sucker Punch.

The posters are, as you'd know anyway, Comic-Con fodder, released by MovieWeb earlier today. And the posters take on a touch more significance with the news that Emily Browning, seen above as "Babydoll," could wind up with the hottest female role in a long time, Lisbeth Salander in David Fincher's Girl with the Dragon Tattoo remake. That would actually be three movies.
From left to right, top to bottom, we have Browning, Jamie Chung (whose body always looks Photoshopped), Carla Gugino (ditto), Jena Malone, Abbie Cornish, and Vanessa Hudgens. For the umpteenth time, I'll throw out there that Zack Snyder has called his 50s-set action flick "Alice in Wonderland with machine guns," if only because that's all we've really got. In terms of the plot, it's about Babydoll making up a fantasy world to escape from the institution her father locked her away in. Or something like that.
It hits IMAX next March, and when oh when will that first trailer arrive?

Maybe this'll be the bad-assed answer to those who didn't think much of the "Watchmen".
