'Yogi Bear' Poster Showcases Lame CGI

Live-action and CGI marriages are delicate beasts. I'm not referring to live-action films that incorporate CGI, but the ones with some human characters that are interacting with clearly phony characters that the humans in the film - and the humans paying to see it - are expected to believe are real. Enter Yogi Bear, which has debuted a new poster. Yeah, there's a lot I don't like about this, beginning with Dan Aykroyd, whose selection in scripts is reproachable. And look at that CGI. That's not Yogi Bear; that's one of those animatronic musicians from the old Rock-a-fire Explosion, or, if you prefer, Chuck E. Cheese. What's wrong with Hanna Barbera animation here? Oh, that's right: That kind of animation doesn't sell, but these weak Alvin and the Chipmunks off-shoots are pure gold. Ugh. Well, if we get nothing else out of it, at least we know this movie's coming out at Christmas (actually December 17th).

Are you over pampered fan-boys nuts! What is to complain about! Take a hike and go discover women! This film wasn't made for you! Yogi and Boo Boo look great for a 3D CARTOON movie. That is all that it is! This movie is not a CGI live action mix like The Chipmunks. As for you people who complain; can you do better?

Is Akryod gonna be doing a Yogi voice for the whole movie? His regular voice definitely does not sound like Yogi.

Actually, for a CGI version of a Hannah Barbera character, it doesn't look bad. The movie itself looks pretty watchable, too.
