Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at 1:03AM Zach Braff Is Still 'Swingle'
Oh yeah, Zach Braff. Boy, I couldn't be the only one who thought Garden State would be an absolute slingshot for him. Didn't quite turn out that way
in the short term, but it was six years ago. Tick tock.

I blame those last, unbearable seasons of Scrubs, but that's over, so Braff can focus on doing more stuff, on stage and in film. Talking to Time Out New York, Braff says he's got a new project he's
working out that's "more in the Garden State oeuvre," which makes sense. But he's not onto that one just yet or, apparently any of the other five or six projects he's been connected to.
First up is Swingles, which is cursed not only with Cameron
Diaz and that title but also the immediately dashed hopes of a movie carrying the brand name rom-com. Combine all three,
in any order, and that's a tough well to dig out of.
It's possible - hopeful, even - that the perpetually below average Diaz leaves the project; Swingles has kind of just been sitting there for a
year or more. Well, that's not entirely true. They have tried a few rewrites, apparently, probably right after The Hangover came out. This
involves bachelors, wingmen, weddings, and all that nonsense. Not a very encouraging way to come off the movie hiatus.

Blind rivet nut, you say?!
I hates me the spam. But unfortunately, I'd have to set it up to approve every comment to keep them from ever showing up, and I don't have that kind of time.
The last season of the original "Scrubs" on ABC wasn't too bad. The "Med School" ones sucked ass.
