Trent Reznor Scoring Fincher's 'The Social Network'

We know where Trent Reznor won't be for a while: Arizona. Nine Inch Nails recently joined the ranks of performers boycotting the state in light of its recent anti-immigration bill. And we've learned where Reznor will be: In the Facebook movie. On his website, Reznor announced that he's doing the score for David Fincher's The Social Network. "David Fincher started inquiring about my interest in scoring his upcoming film, The Social Network. Yeah, the movie about the founding of Facebook. I've always loved David's work but quite honestly I wondered what would draw him to tell that story," Reznor wrote, echoing my exact thoughts on the subject. "When I actually read the script and realized what he was up to, I said goodbye to that free time I had planned." He added, "Months later, I'm happy to tell you we're nearing the completion of this and I couldn't be happier with how it's turned out. The level of excellence that David operates on is inspiring and the entire process has been challenging and truly enjoyable." The NIN frontman also says The Social Network is "really fucking good. And dark!" Reznor's stuff has been featured by Fincher before. Remember "Closer" being used in Se7en? The movie comes out in October, and hopefully we'll get to hear a track or two between now and then.

That's more like it! Was utterly perplexed when I heard that this was Fincher's new project, but the more I hear about, the more I realise I should never have doubted him!
