Sunday, July 4, 2010 at 5:54AM Rodriguez on 'Predators,' 'Sin City,' 'Spy Kids' Sequels
"There are so many great ideas," Robert Rodriguez told MovieWeb about a sequel to next weekend's Predators. "Just
following Laurence Fishburne's character (Noland) around in a prequel would be a great movie. Just the tales he tells in this movie alone, I want to
see those experiences."

The subject of follow-ups means a pretty lengthy conversation with Rodriguez, because he always seems to be developing these franchises even if you
don't necessarily think of him as a guy who does a lot of series. But Predators is just one of several sequel possibilities Rodriguez has
cooking, not that they'll necessarily happen.

"Once you come up with the idea of a Predator Planet, that Predators use as their hunting grounds and humans are involved somehow, the story ideas that you can come up with are so numerous that you can come up with any approach. So we already have several ideas that we can go with for a sequel. They would all be good ideas but we would probably put them together to see which one rises to the top, if we made another one."Outside of this series, there's always Sin City 2...right? "It's in the same place as always -- I'm working on the script," Rodriguez said, prompting a world of eye rolls. "I'm trying to actually find the time to do it because I know I'm doing Spy Kids 4: Armageddon next. But then I'll have an open slot so [Sin City 2] could go after that." Oh, there's the one we don't need: Spy Kids. The first one was good but two was enough. Of course, you could argue that a Sin City sequel isn't really required, either. I could take it or leave it. The first one was really something, but would a sequel, some eight years later, really be worth it?

I'm going to have to say that Robert Rodriguez might actually be bankrupt creatively. Let's look at the evidence: All of his fresh stuff isn't fresh at all, but rather follow-ups to things he did when the juices were flowing. Even Predators is taken from a spec-script he wrote when he was a younger, hungrier man.
Well, at least he has a new hat. That's pretty fresh...
You might be right. That could be a new hat.
Robert Rodriguez is an amazing and talented director/wrighter I am looking forward to sin city sequel just like i am looking forward to the batman sequel sequels are creativly hard and chalanging to do becuase you have to out do the origanls.
spy kids is mainly for kids most likely his own since I like to work with my kids. I am sure he will come out with more origanl content in the future but I for one am content on sin city 2 and 3
lol colin that was funny
This IS better than Airbender. You have to know the story of Avatar before you watch it.
