Is Colin Farrell Playing Ozzy Osbourne?

He's just a sleeve tattoo away from being a real rock star.” It's true that Farrell does have a pretty visible bad boy image, although he's cleaned up his act almost wholesale in the past three years or so. And it would be interesting to see what he could do with the role. If you thought Ray Charles and Johnny Cash had their ups and downs... But the Prince of Darkness is on record about his preference for an actor to portray him in a film, and it's not an Irishman. “I don't want a Johnny Depp or someone from the Hobbit films. I want someone who knows Birmingham. I'm from Birmingham, and it would be good to get someone from Birmingham to play me,” Ozzy has said. Also, maybe someone who doesn't look like Colin Farrell. The movie, apparently, is taking shape at Paramount and MTV Films, although this news might indicate that it's further along than we had thought. If it's true that Farrell is the guy, then the Ozzy movie has to be worked into the Irishman's suddenly very busy schedule. Fright Night, Horrible Bosses, By Virtue Fall, and a movie written and directed by his In Bruges co-star, the consistently underrated Brendan Gleeson. But if it's not Farrell in the role, who should play Ozzy?
