Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at 1:44AM Trailer: The Joaquin Phoenix Doc 'I'm Still Here'
Yeah, I still don't know what to make of Joaquin Phoenix and his trip over the deep end. Is he back?
Suddenly normal? Well, for Joaquin, anyway. Those answers are not available to me. All I know is if he was acting, this was
a terrific performance (or just great performance art), reminiscent of Andy Kaufman.

The chronicle into his year of living dangerously, which I call a Joaqumentary because I like portmanteaus, is I'm Still
Here: The Lost Year of Joaquin Phoenix. You've probably heard that it was directed by his brother-in-law, Casey Affleck,
and that's one of the reasons people think it's a sham: Really? Casey Affleck just happened to have a free year laying
around after the best work of his career in The Assassination of Jesse James so he followed what appeared to be a
clinically depressed recluse around the country while he tried to become a rap star?
Not knowing is the best way to go in, probably, because it really could go either way. Now, as for the new trailer, it's pretty good, thought provoking, even.
