Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at 5:44AM Trailer - Darren Aronofsky's 'Black Swan'
There's a new poster/triler combo for Black Swan, the new Darren Aronofsky drama starring Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis. I'm not so high on the poster (click to see the whole thing), but the trailer is really interesting.

I suppose this is one of those cases where the trailer doesn't make a huge difference; the odds are, this won't make $100 million. It's a movie about ballet. And the people who were going to see it didn't need this to convince them, although it is pretty convincing.
Portman seems to really be going for broke here, and Kunis has been on the rise since Forgetting Sarah Marshall but this is a much bigger stage for her acting talent. So let's hope she can pull it off. I will say this: Don't be discouraged if you're not into it after about 30 seconds; the trailer really picks up as it goes.

My crush on Mila Kunis aside...this looks really interesting. The world needs more movies that involve heavy mental breakdowns.
I agree on all three counts.
You know it's something very diiferent from Aronofsky because nobody's calling it 'The Wrestler in tights".
Isn't The Wrestler "The Wrestler in tights"?
No, The Wrestler's in Spandex.
Sweet custom scented candles! Oh yea the trailer was good too.
If I had to pick one movie to see this fall, it would be Black Swan. Aronofsky is a genius, and someday soon he'll get his Oscar recognition
