Lionsgate is reportedly over the moon about RED, the comic adaptation about a group of graybeard
government assassins who suddenly find themselves in the middle of big mess as targets of the intelligence community
(Retired Extremely Dangerous).

Collider has a bunch of new photos from RED, which will be in theaters in October. Click on any of them to go big.
Now, about these expectations: We went down this road with Kick-Ass, an by traditional standards it did very well,
but I don't think anybody thought it would be so sluggish in the US.
This movie is loaded with stars, though, and it could have a very broad audience if it convinces older guys to check it out.
I think it's supposed to play very well with the kiddies, which is a slight surprise. On to more pictures:
Director Robert Schwentke has already seen his name come up in connection with a much larger project, emerging as one of the
rumored frontrunners to make the Wolverine sequel, and most of that heat is drawn from the response to this film. And you'll get to see it for yourself on October 15th.
