Saturday, August 28, 2010 at 11:31PM Stiller Updates 'Zoolander 2' on the Twitter Machine
Just like Will Ferrell shouldn't have waited to get started on an Anchorman sequel until his
career started to cool off, Ben Stiller really should have pushed for Zoolander
2 about five years back. I mean, he was able to make Starsky & Hutch a big hit.

But Stiller waited and he's gone through The Heartbreak Kid and seems able to only prop up sequels to franchises
established when he was a much bigger draw. So the Zoolander sequel took a step back earlier this year, but now Stiller Tweets that it's back on. Incidentally, nothing better than some Stiller Tweets in your bag at Halloween.
Anyway, there's a script (by Justin Theroux) but Paramount turned it down, based on the studio's weird arithmetic models
about what smells like a hit. No foolin'. But now Stiller alerts his followers that something's in the works:
"Is 'Zoolander 2' happening? -- Yes. Working on it now with my buddy Justin."
That's all we know. Perhaps it's been reconfigured to accentuate the positive or eliminate the negative, and then maybe
Paramount will look at it again. Maybe the studio will feel differently when the computer program has new data from
Little Fockers at the end of the year. But I still think this should have happened sooner than it has.
