Magnolia Pictures PR firm sent us an email today letting us know that Joaquin Phoenix will head back to 'David Letterman' on September 22nd. Why is this news? Well last time Joaquin Phoenix was on Letterman, he talked about his retirement from acting to pursue a career in hip-hop. With a long beard and dark sunglasses, fans were concerned about his mental health and rightfully so.

Of course, he didn't really retire...surprise, surprise. Casey Affleck was filming a mocumentary and the whole thing was being filmed. In fact, he was still acting (so jokes on us, ha. ha.). I'm not sure how many people he managed to fool but I'm curious if the Pheonix we see will be the same hip-hop rapper wannabe or if he will finally admit that the whole thing was a scam to show that his acting is SO GOOD, it fooled the world. You wish, Joaquin. Although he is a great actor, I think it was a bit too gimmicky and nor he or anyone else for that matter could've pulled it off.
Tune into Letterman and find out more. I leave you with a video clip of what happened last time at Letterman.

Either he was serious and was desperate for the world to see him as a hip-hop artist, or he honestly thought he was so important, that it would be an amazing practical joke. I guess the third possiblity is that he believed the world cared about him so much the mockumentary would be a hit.
I love good movies, and respect fine acting. But, no matter how you slice it, we really don't give a s**t if he is a wack job, or an idiot.
