Thursday, September 16, 2010 at 8:35AM 'Dream House' finished? Not quite.
By now 'Dream House' was suppose to be finito, in the can and ready for release. The mystery thriller starring Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz concluded filming couple months ago, but it seems that the post-production crew identified some issues with the film that will need to be re-shot. Easy, right?

Not quite. Daniel Craig has already moved onto his next project, 'Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' and can't be bothered. The film was originally slated to release February 18th but with every day that passes, it seems like the launch date is in jeopardy.
I was quick to think, "how hard can re-shooting a couple scenes of a movie which you've already memorized the lines be?". But then I came to my senses and I know that if "Bond. James Bond." can't do it, nobody can.

How hard can shooting a couple of scenes be!? What did the scenes involve? Is it a case where dialogue needs to be recorded? Do they need clear shots of the actors faces? Is it something they can't do with stand-ins or digital compositing? Why were the scenes missed in the first place?
Try to ask some questions and answer them. You're not writing on the IMDb forums, you're writing an article for a website that people pay for adspace on because they think people come here to read interesting and insightful information about upcoming movies. Get your high school diploma first at least before you operate in the professional realm.
Great googly-moogly!
No anger here, but y'know, you can see professionalism. I realize you guys are takin' over from a long-time blogger, and you're not going to do EVERYTHING the way it's been done. You're changing things here and frankly that's apt because the whole industry is changing, and that's why I like this site. I'll continue to look over here to keep up with the latest. I mean, it could be a site as good at news on the industry as Variety is. But when you write somethin' that doesn't ask and answer those basic questions you're taught in High School English about journalism, I mean c'mon. Look, not only are fans lookin' at you, but people in the industry as well, and you want respect and stature with those too. Maintain as sense of professionalism as well and don't just be a gabby fan blog - or worse - sound like somethin' from a forum response. No, I'm sure you can't call up at get a response from a studio or the production or the talent - and you know what - if you're info doesn't come from one of those sources, then you've got no genuine connections and you shouldn't be putting it out there. I don't know, maybe if you had some "rumor" section or something and it's listed that way. But if you're lazy, your whole site's going to be that section.
This is a good site. Maintain your professionalism and you'll stand out from all the other gabbers and opinionists online.
J Bradley, I actually find most of your posts constructive. However, when you say stuff like "go back and get your high school diploma first" thats just insulting. There is absolutely no place for that and I will defend my writers all the way against anyone who says stuff like that. There is no doubt the people I hired to write, all have the attitude to improve in fact its a requirement. So please keep your comments constructive like the one above and I would feel lucky to have a dedicated reader like yourself caring enough to help us improve.
