Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at 10:22AM DVD New Release of the Week: 'Exit Through The Gift Shop'
I'll get to our spotlighted film of the week, but this is one of those weekends you should definitely make a trip over to Blockbuster Netflix.com and pick up a film. Today, 'Iron Man 2', 'Get Him to the Greek', 'Babies', 'The Killer Inside Me' (Casey Affleck), and 'Frozen' (Adam Green) are released. Obviously, if you haven't seen 'Iron Man 2' because you had a NASA space mission to mars, go rent it. 'Get Him to the Greek' was okay. Probably would give it "3 Abiding Dudes".

However, the one film you should rent this week is 'Exit Through The Gift Shop'. This hilarious documentary is filmed by an amateur film maker, Thierry "Terry" Guetta who tracked down a cousin of his, "Space Invader" where he gave Guetta an inside look at the underground world of graffiti street art. He soon finds the world famous street artist, "Banksy" and films some of his work. But really, the film isn't about Banksy or any of the secret graffiti artists. It's more about the filmmaker and the trainwreck he endures on film.
Check out the trailer and a 5 minute clip of the movie. If you need more convincing, it received 97% on RottenTomatoes.com and 94% rating from 4,013 users. Go watch it.

This looks interesting. I recommend the Killer Inside Me. It was one of the better movies I've seen this year.
