Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at 2:15PM Dark Knight follow-up to begin shooting in May!

"Where's that damn director of photography? I'll kill him!"
I can't wait! I can't wait! Not to sound too much like an enthusiastic little girl, but reading any Batman related news gets me all fired up, much like last week with the article posted about the rumored involvement of Edward Norton in the next film.
Michael Caine shared in a recent BBC interview at cinemblend.com that the sequel to the 'Dark Knight' will start shooting in May and he expects to return.
"I feel myself falling into it, I guess. And getting it all figured out and I'm pretty excited about what we're doing so...If they haven't announced it, I think that the people all probably know at this point that I'm doing it," Caine said.
Christopher Nolan confirmed he will be back to direct, and is currently revising a draft of the screenplay written by co-writer Jonathan Nolan.
Let's go over what we now know. The Dream Team from 'The Dark Knight' is back. Nolan directs. Christian Bale stars. The supporting cast will be filled out with returning regulars Caine, Gary Oldman and Morgan Freeman. Shooting begins in May. The Riddler will be the Dark Knight's adversary?
Yeah...I think that about covers all the bases.
Now the months of endless speculation can begin regarding who will star as Batman's opposition. Edward Norton? Leonardo DiCaprio? Joseph Gordon-Levitt? Tom Hardy?
Two things we can guarantee: the tight-lipped Christopher Nolan already knows who the villain is. And Nolan has proven he can make a great movie.

I'm excited for this one, as well. im hoping it lives up to expectations
Right F'n On :) Edward Norton Would Be A Good Addition. But So Would The Others Mentioned. They Have To Bring Back Dr. Crane, Right? I Hope So, He Was The Best! Cillian Murphy Was A Great Casting Choice.
I want to see Talia, Ra's al-Ghul's daughter. She needs to be brought in the series!
