Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at 10:03AM New Poster For Joe Wright's 'Hanna'
"Adapt or Die" is the tag line from this new poster for Hanna, from director Joe Wright. It prominently features Saoirse Ronan, and why shouldn't it? The film seems to clearly be a vehicle for showcasing the young actress, who also starred in Wright's Atonement.

The film is about a 16-year-old who was raised by her father (Eric Bana) to be the perfect assassin. She's sent on a mission across Europe, tracked by Cate Blanchett as a "ruthless intelligence agent." We previously shared the trailer for Hanna with you here.
The comparisons of this movie to Kick Ass are inevitable, but it looks to be going for a significantly more realistic angle. What I find most striking about the poster below, honestly, is how prominently it touts The Chemical Brothers as the ones responsible for its soundtrack. Other than that, there's not a ton to it, besides a grainy close-up of Ronan, bow drawn, and an overuse of the title font.
This new poster—and the film itself—look pretty good, though. Hanna is scheduled to open in the US on April 8, and I think it's one that's probably worth looking forward to. See if "Adapt or Die" whets your appetite below (click to enlarge to massive size).

If that poster, along with the trailer, feel the same way the film will, it should be awesome. I just hope they showcase Saoirse more than Bana or Blanchet. Sort of how Steinfeld was in True Grit, where it felt Bridges and Damon were there to support her.
