Plans For More Matrix Films Turn Out to be a Hoax

On Monday, we told you AICN was reporting Keanu Reeves announced during a key note speech at the London International School of Performing Arts University that he had met with the Wachowskis and plans were in place to make two more Matrix films. It was a surprising story that got people talking. The only problem is that it turns out to be completely untrue.

Screen Rant did some digging and found that the story was completely fabricated. They contacted the London International School of Performing Arts, which told them that Keanu Reeves never made an appearance there. They then contacted Reeves' rep, who also confirmed that the story was false.

I think most of us are breathing a sigh of relief that there won't be any more Matrix films. But, for those of you who got your hopes up for more of Neo and the gang, blame AICN contributor "El Nino" for toying with your emotions. (You can still find his original fraudulent post here.)
